Ombudsmen List: The Governor’s executive order implementing common sense business regulation creates an ombudsman position in some agencies who will act as troubleshooters when employers encounter problems with the regulatory process. Executive Order -04S: In February, the Governor signed an executive order calling for the reform and elimination of regulatory rules that are detrimental or harmful to employers in Ohio. These efforts include; using easy-to-understand language when creating rules, eliminating duplicative rules, eliminating subjectivity and eliminating unnecessary rules. The Governor’s executive order is provided below.

Executive Order -05S: In March, the Governor signed an executive order calling for a transition in workforce development responsibilities between the Department of Development (DOD), Department of Jobs and Family Services (DJFS) and the Board of Regents (BOR). The realignment of these departments is designed to improve workforce development efforts in Ohio while remaining as efficient as possible. The Governor’s executive order is provided below.
