Each and every one of us has the right to participate in fair and private elections as long as we are 18 and citizens of the United States. Organized labor, however, doesn’t believe we deserve that right when in the work place. Their Employee Free Choice Act or “Card Check” could take away the right of an employee to cast a private ballot in any collective bargaining election. Card Check could also mean higher costs for employers and therefore less wages or even less jobs for workers.
